About Material Handling in IFS MWO Maintenance

This document provides a comprehensive guide to material handling processes in the IFS MWO Maintenance App. The mobile app supports various material related activities and helps mobile users to complete their daily tasks effectively and efficiently.

Part Related Basic Data

This section outlines the basic data set up required for mobile users to access the relevant inventory parts and purchase parts using warehouses and assortments. It also explains the batch jobs used for synchronization of parts to mobile and how to set them up correctly.

Material Actions on Work Tasks

This section outlines the key features and functions available under the Work Task Materials action on Request and Work Tasks. These are related to plan, issue and receipt of parts against Request or Work Order Tasks.

The Material displayed are grouped into following sections :

• Required Materials
• Reserved Materials
• Issued Materials
• Receive Reserved Parts

Purchase Handling

In IFS MWO Maintenance, mobile users manage Purchase Requisitions and Orders by creating requisitions for Work Order Tasks and receiving order items, either fully or partially. After a purchase requisition is created in the mobile app, it must be reviewed and processed into a Purchase Order in IFS Cloud, after which the Purchase Order lines will be available for receipt in mobile app.

Material Returns

Material Returns allows users to return uninstalled parts into inventory. Parts can be moved to:

• Main warehouse using a transport task (It is also possible to execute the transport task at the same time) or
• Own van stock, which can later be returned to main warehouse directly.

This provides an accurate and efficient mechanism for mobile users to track uninstalled parts.

My Warehouse Stock

My Stock feature in the IFS Cloud mobile client provides a comprehensive view of the parts in stock that are accessible to the mobile user. It allows users to monitor their stock levels and check availability of the parts required for work execution.

• Quantity On hand
• Update Stocks

Part / Stock Movement

MWO users can conduct various stock movement activities, either standalone against their local warehouse (i.e., van stock) or in the context of the work execution processes. These include :

• Send to or Receive parts from other mobile user warehouses to fulfill ad-hoc material demands.
• Return unwanted or unusable stock from own stock to a central warehouse.
• Replenishment of van stock.(If applicable)
