Analysis Models - Power BI provides the capability to customize a model and upload it through the IFS Cloud Web into the target workspace. If an IFS Delivered model needs to be modified, the customizing process involves two main functions.
Customizing a model can be as simple as performing basic changes (i.e. adding new measures) as well as modifying the data set by adding new data sources.
As a part of the customization process, new Parquet Data Sources can be created and added to the model that is being customized. This can be achieved by Creating a Parquet Data Source based on Information Sources and other Views, and performing an Explicit load.
Through the Power BI Desktop, the Data Sources from ADLS Gen 2 folder can be accessed by providing the SAS Token .
Along with the Power BI Desktop, there are tools/ plugins that can be used with Power BI Desktop, to enhance the customization process.
Once the model is edited, the parameter creation is essential before uploading the Power BI file.
