This activity is used to specify the competency profile for an person. The competencies of a person are registered by rating their competency level for each selected competency element. You can register competencies for an employee via Employee File, Personal File or Employee Competency Assessment.
Employee File and Personal File
Navigate to Qualifications/Competencies.
Specify the Competency Group, Competency and Competency Level. In the Validity Period, specify the valid period of the competency information. Note that the effective duration of the competency as specified in Competencies Structure will determine the default validity end while the system date will be the default validity start date.
To copy competencies from another employee or job requirements, select the option:
Employee Competency Assessment
Add a new record for an employee and enter the competency information for the employee as described for employee file/personal file above.
You can select Employee option to navigate to employee file. There is no option to copy competencies if you use Employee Competency Assessment.
Competencies have to be registered in Job and Qualifications/ Qualifications/ Competencies Structure.
There are no system effects.
