Connect Work Task

Explanation

This is the process of connecting individual tasks to Bundle Tasks.

Prerequisites for the Bundle Task

• The Bundle Task's status must be below Work Done.
• The Bundle Task can have recorded Clocking’s.
• Transactions can exist within the Bundle Task.

Prerequisites for the connecting task

• The connecting task's status should be below Work Done.
• No Clocking's should be created for the connecting tasks.
• Transactions can exist within the tasks, not based on Work Assignments

System Effects

When you connect a task to a bundle task, the following effects occur:

• Connected task resource demands must be set as Not Allocatable.
• Allocations associated with the connected tasks will be cancelled.
• New transactions within the Bundle Task will distribute costs among all connected tasks, while previous transactions will remain unchanged.
• Duration and assignments on the Bundle Task must be manually adjusted to accommodate additional requirements.
• An Event Log will be created upon connection of tasks.

As a result of this activity, individual tasks can be connected to Bundle Tasks.
