Update Configuration Price List

Explanation

Use this functionality to define pricing rules and pricing information for the available characteristics and options of configured sales parts. On this page you can enter any particular characteristics available from the List of Values. However, it is not possible to setup configuration characteristics and option prices for characteristics that are of the type informational. The Informational characteristics are only for informational purposes and are excluded from the price logic.

On each characteristics, you can define any optional values available on the List of Values. The price of a configured sales part consists of up to three components:

  1. the sales part base price, i.e. the price of the unconfigured part,
  2. the economic value of the characteristics connected to the sales part,
  3. the economic value of any applicable option connected to the characteristics.

You can enter separate prices for all characteristics, and for all options belonging to them in Configuration Price List.

For example, optional values such as Classic, Elegant and Standard can be available for a characteristic such as a handle. These options are available for use at the customer order level and will not get printed on the sales price list.

If the Use Price Incl Tax option is enabled on the Sales Price List/General section, it is possible to enter values in the Amount Offset Incl Tax field and the amount offset value is calculated using the tax code used for the part-based price list line.

If Allow Override is enabled, the price of the characteristics can be overridden when using sales configurator. If there is a maximum percentage of price reduction that should be enforced when the characteristic price is overridden, you can enter that in Max Override (%).

It is possible to connect a Configuration Characteristic Sales Price Combination table or a Configuration Characteristic Sales Price Formula for the configuration characteristic. One price combination table or one price formula can be connected to the characteristic at a time.

Price combination tables and price formulas can be added as an AddOn value or a Replace value. If AddOn, the return value from the price combination table or price formula will be added to the offset values. If Replace, the offset values will be replaced by the return value from the price combination table or the price formula.

When a customer order is entered, the configuration price list is referred to, and the customer specific variations are specified on the order and sent for manufacturing. Therefore these parts are not available for immediate purchase and have to be ordered well in advance.
