Enter Global Address Per Quotation
Explanation
This activity defines a Global Address as a delivery address for a
particular Sales Quotation. A Global Address is a predefined address mainly
used for delivery purposes. This address is not the end customer's address
but can be a logistic location address (e.g., port, yard, airport etc.)where
the supplier delivers the goods.
The Global Address uses a single occurrence functionality to share
the address from the Sales Quotation Header to the Sales Quotation line. The
single occurrence toggle will automatically
be enabled when the
user selects a Global Address in Sales Quotation header.
Global Address can have default sourcing. It can be "Int Purch Dir"
or "Purch Order Dir.
Prerequisites
-
A Global
Address
must have been defined.
-
The Customer field on the Sales Quotation must be filled.
System Effects
-
A Global Address delivery is defined for the Quotation, and the ordered
parts will be delivered to this address.
-
New Quotation lines will be created with this delivery address as a
single occurrence address.
-
The Supply Country field of the Sales Quotation will be updated,
if the selected Global Address has the "Update Supply Country"
toggle enabled for default sourcing at the Global Address.
Additionally, tax liability will change based on the supply country
defined under the customer.
-
If the selected Global Address has defined default sourcing, Supply code
will be automatically fetched to the newly created Sales Quotation line.
The External Supplier or Site (Internal supplier) will also be fetched
automatically if the relevant sales part has defined supplier for
purchase part.
-
If the user changes the existing Global Address to another Global
Address with different default sourcing (Supply Site/External Supplier)
for an existing Sales Quotation with quotation lines, the sourcing
information of the existing quotation lines will not change to the new
sourcing. The new default sourcing will only affect for new quotation
lines.
