Submit Order from Shopping Cart
Explanation
Use this activity when creating an order from the Shopping Cart. The Shopping
Cart is a place holder for the products that the user wants to order. This activity
is intended for a B2B user acting as a B2B Customer.
You can perform this activity in the lobby page Order Management for
Customers and the lobby element for Shopping Cart. Use the
Submit Order command.
Note: The Shopping Cart is also possible to reach from
Products page,
Product Detail page and
Favorite Products page.
Prerequisites
- In the Customer page, the B2B
option must be enabled for the appropriate customer.
- The user has added at least one product in the Shopping Cart for the
customer, specified as the user’s default customer, in
B2B User – Customer page.
- Make sure that there is a default order type defined on site-customer
combination level, site level or customer level for the user’s default site
and/or default customer. This is needed in order to create a customer order
from Shopping Cart.
- If the Shopping Cart contains configurable parts, configuration must
be done prior to submit.
System Effects
- After submitting, a customer order in status Planned is created with
option B2B Order enabled in Customer Order
page. The Release for Mtrl. Planning option on the created customer order
lines are disabled, in order to exclude them from planning engines. However,
if Priority Reservation is applicable for the customer order line created from
the shopping cart, then the Release for Mtrl. Planning option will always
be enabled.
