Use this activity to enter information required to add a Recurring Scope by using the New Recurring Scope assistant.
A recurring program can have many scopes. Service Objects, Models and Locations can be set on the scope independent of the model, object and location set on the recurring service program and it is possible to create scopes for both models and objects. A Location can be defined for the recurring scope from the New Recurring Scope Assistant and it can either be location type or customer type location. It is possible to create multiple scopes at once by enabling the Select Multiple Objects toggle and selecting multiple objects, a Service Scope will be created for each object selected. The selection of objects can be limited based on the service, contract line, model and customer. The Service and Service Object combination in a recurring scope must have the same Applicability to be valid. If a contract line has been selected, it is possible to select "Cover All Items", which cover all Models/Objects for that contract line. It is possible to edit models and objects in the scope line if the recurring service program is in the preliminary stage.
For Service Object Scopes, the location is initially set based on the object's location if available. In cases where there is no location defined on the object, the location is then set to the program header location if available. After creating the scope, users have the flexibility to override the location of the object scope from recurring scope tab if required. In the case of Model Scopes, it is possible to add model scopes to the program without specifying a location, all objects associated with the selected model for the customer will be included in the program scope schedule. However, If a location is defined for the model scope, objects will be filtered based on the defined location. It is possible to override the location of the model scope after creating the scope, it will result in changes in the schedule line accordingly.
Recurring Scope validity is set by Valid From and Valid To dates and are required to be inside the period defined by the Recurring Service Program Valid From and Valid To.
When there is a Request Contract connected to the Recurring Service Program, it is possible to use Request Contract Lines in the recurring scopes and the scope validity is set by Valid From and Valid To dates from the Request Contract Lines. Additionally, the service objects are filtered by the contract line. Even though these dates are editable on the recurring scopes, they are required to be inside the period defined by the Request Contract Line Valid From and Valid To. The user must have access to either the Sales Site or the Service Organization that’s valid for the Sales site of the Contract.
As a result of this activity, a Recurring Scope or multiple Recurring Scopes will be added to the Recurring Service Program and a unique Recurring Scope number will be created for each scope line.
If there are standard tasks related to the added service these will be shown in the Standard Tasks tab.
