New Schedule of Work Production

Explanation

This activity is used to create a new Schedule of Work Production.

A project can have only one active Schedule of Work Production. The previous Schedule of Work Production must be in a Canceled status before creating a new Schedule of Work Production connected to the same project.

A Schedule of Work Production cannot be deleted once Work Recording has been performed. However, deletion is allowed when the Schedule of Work Production is in Planned status.

Quantity Breakdown Structure

When required, a Quantity Breakdown Structure (QBS) can also be connected to your Schedule of Work during its creation. Your new Schedule of Work can be connected to any of the existing Quantity Breakdown Structures, to a brand-new Quantity Breakdown Structure created along with your new Schedule of Work, or to a new Quantity Breakdown Structure created by copying from any existing Quantity Breakdown Structure of your choice.

Validation Criteria

When required, the options: Cost Element Mandatory, Revenue Element Mandatory, Subproject Mandatory, and Activity Mandatory can be enabled on the Schedule of Work Details section. These options will be used as validation criteria.

Default Values

A default sub project and default activity values can be specified in the Schedule of Work Details section on the header. These values will autmatically be copied to your Schedule of Work item lines when the item lines are created.
