Manage Schedule of Work Change Order
Explanation
This activity is used to create Schedule of Work Change Order item lines
from your existing Schedule of Work items.
When SOW Change Order Required is enabled in
Change Control Settings, a Schedule of Work Change Order
needs to be created to update your Schedule of Work item lines once the
Schedule of Work is in Approved or Work Started status. When SOW
Change Comment Required is enabled, you must specify a Change
Comment for your Schedule of Work item
- When creating a Change Order with an existing Sales Contract Change
Order, the Change Order Number needs to be selected to create your SOW
Change Order.
- When creating a Change Order with a new Sales Contract Change Order,
the Destination Sales Contract, Change Order Name, and Change Type of
your new Sales Contract Change Order need to be specified.
- When creating a Change Order with an existing Project Contract
Change Order, the Change Order Number needs to be selected to create
your SOW Change Order.
- When creating a Change Order with a new Project Contract Change
Order, the Change Order Name and Change Type of your new Project
Contract Change Order need to be specified.
Prerequisites
- The Schedule of Work should be in Approved or in
Work Started status.
- Change Order should be enabled in Change
Control Settings.
- SOW Change Types should be defined in the Schedule of
Work Change Types page.
System Effects
- Based on the selected Schedule of Work information, a Schedule of
Work Change Order is created.
- The created Schedule of Work Change Order can be viewed in the
Schedule of Work Change Order Overview and
Detail pages.
- When a Schedule of Work Change Order is created with a new Sales
Contract Change Order or Project Contract Change Order, the
corresponding Contract Change Order will also be created.
- Schedule of Work Change Order not yet created is created along with
Schedule of Work Change Order Item line.
