This activity updates the calculated estimates to the selected Project Forecast.
This can be achieved by performing the Copy EAC to Project Forecast command in the Schedule of Work Value Summary or Work Recording Summary pages.
Based on your preference, Cost and/or Revenue values can be updated at the Project level, Sub Project level, or Activity level. The selection of the level is allowed only when sub project or activity information is specified in all item lines of your Schedule of Work Estimate.
The Calculated Date of the Schedule of Work Estimate should be within the range of the Cut-Off Date of your selected Project Forecast.
When the Schedule of Work version is updated, it is possible to copy the updated Cost and/or Revenue values to the same Project Forecast multiple times. When copying to an already updated Project Forecast, you will not be allowed to change the previously selected levels.
The Copy EAC to Project Forecast command will not update the cost progress to the Project Forecast. To update the cost progress, use the Update Project Forecast Progress command in the Work Record Summary page.
Project Forecast item lines will be created based on calculated Cost/Revenue Element values.
