Security Group access is required for the app to retrieve synchronized data from the server and display it on the relevant screens in the mobile apps. Therefore, security groups can be used to restrict a user's access to functionality by hiding screens and commands in the mobile application, as well as preventing data from being synced to the mobile device.
The document below provides a high-level explanation of what each security group controls in the mobile application, in terms of data and screen accessibility.

| BasicData | The BasicData security group contains entities that synchronize basic data, such as Work Type and Activity Type, into the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, the end user will not see data in the basic data LOVs. |
| Configuration | The Configuration security group contains entities that synchronize data necessary for handling all types of workflow configurations in the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, workflow configurations will not be applied in the mobile application. |
| ContactLists | The ContactList security group contains entities that synchronize data necessary for showing different types of contact lists (Company based, Site based) in the mobile application. If the security group is not granted, the end user will not see data in the Contact List. |
| Crews | The Crews security group contains entities that synchrinize data necessary for showing data related to my crew information in the mobile application. If the security group is not granted, the end user will not see the my crew information, and the crew entry is not visible in the hamburger menu. |
| DocumentManagement | The Document Management security group contains entities that synchronize data necessary for displaying document attachments in the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, the end user will not be able to view or add new document attachments in the mobile application. |
| eForms | The eForms security group contains entities that synchronize the data necessary for managing eForms in the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, the end user will not be able to see the eForms tile on the Home Screen, and eForms will not be triggered in mobile workflows. |
| History | The History
security group contains entities that synchronize data necessary for
showing the information in the service book/ log book for my work
objects in the mobile application. If the security group is not
granted, the end user will not see data in the Service Book
(Service App) and Log Book (Maint App) for my work
objects. For other objects, the Service/Log Book is available regardless of security grants for the History security group, as the history is displayed online. |

If the security group is not granted, the end user will not see the Object tile on the Home Screen or the Objects action in the Task actions. |

Additionally, the My Stock option will also be removed from the Home Screen. |
| Purchasing | The Purchasing security group contains entities that synchronize data necessary for purchase handling, such as raising purchase requisitions and receiving purchase orders, in the mobile application. If this security group is not granted, the end user will not be able to see the Purchase Handling tile on the Home screen or access the Purchase Order Receipt action in the Task actions. Additionally, the Purchase Requisitions action (for Work Order tasks) and the Ad-hoc Purchase action will also be removed from the Task actions. |

If this security group is not granted, the end user will not be able to see the Request Quotation and New Request Quotation tiles on the Home screen.
