Use this activity to create a snapshot of routing operation details and calculate the actual results for different operation attributes used in a routing.
In the Calculate Routing Operation Actuals assistant, specify the selection criteria such as part, work center and date range for the routing operations and shop orders to be included in the calculation.
Calculate Labor with Planned Crew Size determines whether labor setup time and run factors are calculated based on the planned or actual crew size. Calculating with the planned crew size can be valuable when multiple employees clock time in parallel or overlap on operations, as the calculated actual crew size in such cases might not accurately represent the true crew size.
The assistant will calculate the actual values of operation attributes based on closed shop orders within the defined date range. It will also calculate the difference between the planned and actual values, as well as the difference as a percentage. The snapshot record allows you to compare planned values with actual values for different operation attributes. This information can be used to update the operation attributes to enhance the accuracy of the routing.
To identify shop order operations to include in the calculation, operations are identified by comparing the routing type, routing revision, routing alternate and operation number. This means that a shop order operation and a routing operation will be considered the same if they have the same operation number. Even if for example, the work center or labor class has been updated.
The following attributes are calculated: Machine Setup Time, Machine Run Factor, Resource Share per Unit, Fixed Resource Share, Labor Setup Time, Setup Man Hours, Setup Crew Size, Labor Run Factor, Run Factor in Man Hours, Crew Size, Usage Factor and Operation Qty Factor.
