Use this activity to import a user-specified set of planned demands from customer schedules for a Level 1 part (for one or all customers), that were generated in IFS/Customer Schedule. These planned demands are the Not Delivery Authorized lines in a released Customer Schedule, which generates Customer Schedule Forecast demands on the Inventory Part Availability Planning page upon releasing the customer schedule. The system imports all of the planned demand that have been generated for the designated Level 1 part during the specified time span. Depending on your preference, this time span may or may not fall within the limits of the Planning Time Fence (PTF). To monitor the status of the import activity, check the Action Messages tab of Master Schedule by Part.
The toggle Include in Import Customer Schedule on Master Schedule Level 1 Part page, under Master Scheduling Planning Data, can be used to include or exclude the part from the Import Customer Schedules job.
There could be instances where there are no Not Delivery Authorized lines in a released Customer Schedule, but the Customer Schedule Agreement Part is active. These parts will also included in the import customer schedule job, and their MS Level 1 Forecast 1 column data will reset to zero within the imported date range. These additional parts need to have the correct Sales Part Cross-reference defined for the specific site according to the Customer Schedule Agreement customer part. Parts with Customer Agreement validity time period is past and/or are no longer used in customer scheduling, need to be attended to prevent any unexpected results with the importing job.
As a result of this activity, the system imports a set of customer plan demands from IFS/Customer Scheduling for the specified MS Level 1 Part.
