Generate Job Description

Explanation

The Activity generate job description is used to auto generate a job description at the Job Architecture.
Important Note: This Functionality exists at the Job Definition page residing under the Job Architecture Navigation (The Company Independent Job Definition Page).

Generating a Job Description

To generate a Job Description, you may simply click on the generate command button and select description. This can be done for an already registered Job Definition that has a meaningful title. When generating a Job Description, the solution currently uses the following information registered in the Job.

• Job Title
• Job Summary
• Job Functional Area
• Competencies
• Certificates
• Responsibilities

When you click Generate Description, a dialog with a suggested job description will appear. To request a different suggestion, click Regenerate. Use the Keywords section in the dialog to enter meaningful keywords that will help the solution improve its suggestion when regenerating. Use the Job Description Format Section to generate the Job Description with a specific format. You can key in the format separated by commas. Example: - Title, Job Summary, Qualifications, Responsibilities

To generate meaningful outcomes using this activity, it is important to provide meaningful inputs.

Example 01: - A Job Title that says Software Engineer will be more meaningful than using SE as the Title, similarly using a more specific Job Title such as veterinary surgeon or veterinarian can provide most suitable responses compared to using a title such as Vet.

Example 02: - If the responsibilities section is not updated in the Job and when generating the job description you had specifically mentioned a section called “Responsibilities” at the Job Description Format the solution will suggest the most suitable responsibilities it has currently learned for the given Job title and other parameters, however if there is a list of responsibilities already saved when defining the job, as we will be passing this information as parameters to consider, it is very likely that the solution will return a more meaningful response when generating the Job Description.

A Job is saved in the solution with a meaningful title.
