Defense operators require the flexibility to manage flights for their forward operating bases. Accordingly, Forward Flight Operations enable you to plan for the operation of flights in and out of forward operating bases.
Planning for flight missions entails:
Once flights have been migrated or provided the flight was created in Forward Flight Operations prior, you can view flights and their details for all flight statuses up until the point that the flight is completed and historic. However, new flights created after the initial migration from Maintenix are not displayed.
You can also create a new planned flight directly in Forward Flight Operations. Although the tail number or registration code of the aircraft must be specified for the flight at the time of creation, this can be edited at a later time, if necessary.
Updates to departure and arrival locations as well as those to the scheduled departure and arrival dates can be made by way of editing the planned flight.
Finally, should the need arise, you can remove a planned flight. A planned flight that was created in Forward Flight Operations will be deleted while a planned flight that was migrated will be deleted but not from Maintenix.
