This activity adds both regular and Admin users for performing the FMECA Analysis. Adding users also grants Admin access when required. Proper management of users and Admins ensures the security and integrity of the FMECA Analysis.
Start by updating the User ID field from the drop-down. Users are defined in the Users and Permissions page in Solution Manager. The User Description field will auto-populate based on the selected User ID, and the User Job Role field should be filled to specify the user’s designation, such as Facilitator, Asset Manager, or Reliability Engineer. Additional notes can be added in the Note field for more details about the user.
If the Admin toggle is switched on in the Prepare FMECA page, only the users defined under the Users for FMECA section can make changes to that FMECA Analysis. If a user without Admin access tries to make any changes, an error message will appear “User should be an Administrator to modify FMECA Analysis”.
Users can be added and edited in Preliminary and In Progress statuses, but not In Review, Active, Approved, or Obsolete statuses.
Note: Adding Users for FMECA is not mandatory, but it is recommended for secure.
As a result of this activity, Users are added to Prepare FMECA page.
