Register Employee Basic Information

Explanation

Use this activity to maintain basic information about a person. Basic information are things such as name, identifie details, physical characteristics, personality traits and various other data.

Identifier Details

Identifier can be added and modifed in Personal File and Employee File. When an identifer is added in Personal File for Person context, it will be displayed in the employee’s Employee File(s). When an identifier is added in Personal File for an Employee context, it will be displayed only in the Employee File of the relevant employment (as specified in Company and Employee ID when the record is added).

Any modifications to a Person context identifier can only be made in Personal File.

The Primary identifier will be used for payroll purposes. Only one Primary identifier can be indicated in an Employee File, regardless of the context. If a Person context identifier has been set as Primary, no other identifiers can be set as Primary for the Person/Employee. There can be more than one Primary identifier for a Person with multiple employments, if different Employee context identifiers have been set as Primary across multiple Employee Files.

Prerequisites

In order properly display external and internal display names, the internal and external display name should have been configured.

In order to upload a photo of an employee, it has to be available from your computer (saved on your hard drive, network location you can access or a physical data storage device)

As a result of this activity, a set of basic information is registered for a person. This information can be later used for analysis purposes.

Identifiers will be displayed in Personal File, Employee File (where relevant). Primary identifers will be displayed in Employees overview page and are used for payroll purposes.
