The People's Hub Basic Data

Explanation

Use this activity to configure the required basic data to enable the information at The People's Hub Widget.

Company Announcements Basic Data Page

For announcements to be visible to users from the widget, they must be defined or created in advance. This can be done using a newly introduced page called the Company Announcements Basic Data Page.
Create an announcement by entering:

Once created, assign or link companies to the announcement by expanding the nested list for the newly created announcement. This ensures the announcement is published and visible only to the linked companies.Consequently, only users employed within those linked companies will be able to view the announcements in the widget.

Publish the announcement to the widget by clicking the Publish button.

People's Hub Widget special events configuration

The Peoples Hub Widget configuration offers two methods for setting up “Special Events”: Organization Units and Team. The widget will fetch and display relevant data based on the chosen configuration. The decision between Organization Units or Team is made on the Access Set Up Configuration page options chosen, which is Access Based on Organization Position Setup for organization units Configuration and Access Based on Team and Supervisor Setup for Team Configuration

Organization units

Since Organization Units depend on the company, users must first add the companies and then configure the Organization Unit for the three “special events” as per their choice. Data is filtered based on the company. The four configuration options for Organization Units are as follows:

Display Primary Organization Units Only: Fetches the logged-in user’s primary org unit and assigned employees.

Display Primary Organization Unit and All Subordinates: Fetches the logged-in user’s organization unit and all subordinate units.

Display Organization Units, Subordinates, and Peer Organization Units: Fetches the logged-in user’s parent organization unit, its subordinate units, and selected employees.

Display Organization Units, Subordinates, Peer Organization Units, and Their Subordinates: Fetches all subordinate units under the parent organization unit and its employees, plus employees of peer organization units, excluding those assigned to the parent organization unit.

Team

With Teams there won’t be any dependency based on the company for the three Special Events as per the user’s choice. Data is filtered as per the users company which has their master employment and their team set up. There are three options to configure Teams as follows
