The People's Hub

Explanation

The People's Hub Widget allows you to stay updated with the latest and most important announcements and key information from the organization. Additionally, it helps you recognize and celebrate teammates’ Birthdays, Work Anniversaries, and other special milestones for the week. With just a few clicks, you can send personalized messages and greetings, from The People's Hub Widget.

Announcements section

The Announcements section will display important information specific to the organization. Announcements can be either hyperlinks or plain text. When an announcement is a hyperlink, clicking it redirects the user to the source for more details. These company-specific announcements are visible only to users within the assigned company. Users can scroll down to view more announcements in this section as desired.

Special Events Section

The Special Events section in the widget will display three events: Birthdays, Work Anniversaries, and New Joiners. Users can click the Wish button next to a person’s name and the event they are celebrating, which will trigger the Teams application to send the customized message saved in the configuration. In the absence of Teams application the messages will be sent via IFS Notifications. Users can scroll down to view more updates in the Special Events section if there are additional celebrations.

Default Messages

Users can configure The People's Hub Widget by customizing and adding their own wording for the three special event categories: Birthdays, Work Anniversaries, and New Joiners.

Initially, default messages for these events will be visible in the configuration settings. Users can remove these defaults and add customized messages according to their preferences. This customization can be applied to all three special events or just one, depending on the user’s choice.

Selection Period

The second section, Selection Period, includes two options: Current Week and Next 7 Days. By default, Current Week is selected and visible in the list of values (Lov) when the user first accesses the configuration, displaying all updates for the current week. The Next 7 Days option fetches updates for the upcoming week or the next seven days, allowing users to view next week’s updates.

Prerequisites

• Company Announcements basic data page setup is complete.
• The People's Hub Widget special events configuration is complete.
• Access setup configuration options chosen.
• Logged in user has employment in a company. (This is subjective to the confguration selected and section of the Widget)

User interacts with the The People's Hub Widget to view announcements and engage with teammates celebrating special events.
