Define Part Specific Emissions Using Emissions Template

Explanation

You can add CTG emissions to a part revision from an Emissions Template either as a copy or as a reference.

If copy, the values will be copied from the template with no further connection. Existing emissions can either be overwritten or left as is, as controlled by the user. New lines created will be marked with the template id that initially created them. Already existing emission lines on the part revision for substances not included in the template will not be touched.

If referenced, the values will be copied but there will also be a link to the template. If the template is updated, those changes can be propagated to all linked part revisions. You cannot update the emissions manually if a template is referenced. In that case, the reference must be removed first. Also, you can not create a new reference if emission lines already exist for the part revision. In that case, the existing emissions need to be removed first.

There are three pages from where a template can be utilized:

Part Eco-Footprint CTG Emissions
From this page you can assign a template for one part revision at a time

Part Eco-Footprints
From this page it is possible to assign a template to multiple part revisions in one go by first marking the lines and then selecting the command "Apply Emissions Template".

Eco-footprint Part Information
On this page you can link a template to a part no and then propagate this template to all or selected sites and revisions for that part. However, propagation is limited to the sites you have access to.
