Add Custom Attributes
Explanation
Custom attributes in IFS Cloud allow you to extend the functionality of
existing entities by adding new fields (attributes) to store additional
information in reports.
- Click Add Attribute
- Provide a unique name for the attribute.
a. Select the appropriate attribute type (e.g., Persistent or
Read Only).
b. Select the appropriate data type
c. Define the text attribute's properties, such as maximum
length, upper case, lowercase etc.
- Define the attribute's properties, such as:
a. Default Value: Specify a default value for the attribute.
b. Required: Enabled on Reports.
Prerequisites
- A verified user within IFS Cloud, equipped with the necessary
permissions (FND_ENDUSER & FND_DEVELOPER) to access a specific report
and its associated data elements (projections).
- The selected report for print should be an operational report(Report
Designer Layout/Report Studio – Designer Layout).
- The Custom Attributes framework parameter in the System Parameters
page should be enabled.
