Enter Technical Classes
Explanation
Use this activity to enter new technical classes which are used when creating a characteristic template. This
optional task is to be performed by a system administrator or other equivalent person.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The technical class can be connected to numeric and alphanumeric attributes in order to create a
template.
- Queries can be performed by class in order to search for similar items.
- Classes are used to create characteristic templates.
- Templates by class are used in the Characteristic Best Fit Search. This enables you to query for parts with
common or similar attributes.
- Characteristics may be associated with actual parts.
