The integration between IFS Cloud and Kyriba Treasury Management Solution uses APIs to connect multiple systems with ease and introduces an array of features that have the potential to change how businesses handle their finances. Accordingly, this integration leads to more efficient financial operations, agility, and strategic decision-making, with an emphasis on improving cash forecasting, liquidity management, and payment operations.
The visibility of the Kyriba features will depend on the availability of the SKU IFS Cloud Kyriba Connector and the component KYRCON.
IFS was not connected to a Treasury Management Solution before this integration. Several strategic goals are served by our integration with Kyriba Treasury Management Solution, all of which are focused on improving both the effectiveness and efficiency of financial management.
Below are the four integrations.
ISO 20022 is an open global standard for financial information which defines the ISO platform for the development of financial message standards. It is an international standard for exchanging electronic messages between financial institutions.
In the IFS Application, a Supplier Payment Format has been defined using the ISO20022 standard by which users can create a payment method using that system-defined format. ISO 20022 payment format integration with Kyriba enables the successful transfer of supplier payment orders from IFS Cloud to the bank via the treasury management system, Kyriba. This ensures an efficient transfer process and real-time tracking of the transferred payment file.
As prerequisites, the routing rules and routing addresses should be set up and the Send to Service Provider toggle should be enabled for the ISO 20022 Payment Format on the Payment Formats Per Company page.
In addition to creating and transferring the Supplier Payment Orders via Kyriba, the user has the ability the regenerate the file and transfer via Kyriba. Moreover, the user can track the status of the transferred payment file on the Supplier Payment Orders page and the Acknowledge Supplier Payment Orders page.
This use case is to ensure seamless receipt of bank statements from the bank via Kyriba using the CAMT payment format integration.
CAMT is an ISO 20022 Payment Message definition that stands for Cash Management and specifically covers Bank to Customer Cash Management reporting. It is an electronic bank statement providing all required information relating to the transactions entered in the bank account.
With the Kyriba integration, the import of the bank statements is supported by a scheduled database task. If the routing rules are set up, the CAMT files available with Kyriba will be pulled and placed in the standard external payment flow. This enables an efficient and more secure import process.
Cash Planning provides capabilities to analyze, plan, and consolidate future cash flows within a project, a company, or a group of companies. It can be used both for short term scenarios with input primarily from Finance sources or for longer term scenarios with additional input from other automated or manual sources. The ambition with cash planning is to be able to re-use as much information as possible from existing cash flow sources within IFS Cloud and minimize manual processes.
In order to re-use planned values from IFS Cash Planning in Kyriba, a pre-packaged integration has been developed. After setting up the required routing rules in IFS Connect the user can transfer aggregated cash plan details to a pre-defined process template in Kyriba according to the table below.
Kyriba Process Template | Cash Plan Details (IFS Cloud) | Comment |
Account Code | N/A | Mapped per company in Financials – Planning/Cash Planning/Kyriba Account Mapping |
Flow Code | N/A | +CASH for all positive Transaction Currency amounts -CASH for all negative Transaction Currency amounts |
Budget Code | N/A | Mapped per cash plan sub source in Financials – Planning/Cash Planning/Cash Planning – Basic Data/Cash Plan Source |
Transaction Date | Cash Flow Date | - |
Value Date | Cash Flow Date | - |
Flow Currency | Transaction Currency | - |
Amount | Transaction Currency Amount | - |
The cash plan details can be transferred either directly from a selected snapshot and scenario in Financials – Planning/Cash Planning/Cash Plan or as a scheduled database task.
For instances where Kyriba produces general ledger vouchers that need to be transferred to IFS Cloud, a pre-packaged integration has been developed. To automate the process the user needs to define each company subject to receiving general ledger vouchers from Kyriba, in Accounting Rules/Voucher/External Voucher/Kyriba Voucher Mapping.
After setting up the mapping table and defining the required routing rules in IFS Connect, the user can automatically access general ledger vouchers from a pre-defined process template in Kyriba. The import is either triggered from Accounting Rules/Voucher/External Voucher/Kyriba Voucher Load Information or as a scheduled database task. Each import (application message) will be represented by a record on the Kyriba Voucher Load Information page. This means that if, by accident, not all companies included in the import have been mapped on the Kyriba Voucher Mapping page, it is still possible to access the unmapped voucher rows and re-load them at a later point.
For the mapped companies, each combination of User Group, Load Type ID and File Template ID in the Kyriba Voucher Mapping table will be included a common Load ID in Accounting Rules/External File/Monitor External Files/External File Load IDs. From that point onwards the import will follow the standard process for external vouchers.
A system defined external file template, mapped to the pre-defined Kyriba process template as per the table below will be available to use out of the box. Depending on how Kyriba User Zones and IFS Cloud code parts are defined it might however be required to create a copy of the external file template and adjust the mapping accordingly.
