Package Fault
Explanation
You can package open and deferred faults, which have not been assigned to
a work package, from the Open Faults
or Deferred Faults page accessed via the
Aircraft Turn Details page.
Prerequisites
- Faults and fault related basic data must have been migrated and synced from your primary
M&E system.
- An open or deferred fault that has not been assigned to a work
package.
System Effects
- The fault is assigned to a work package for the aircraft turn.
- The task corresponding to the fault can be viewed in the
Work Tasks page for the aircraft turn.
- If there is a scheduled work package in the Commit or
In Work status at the aircraft's current or
upcoming destination, the fault is packaged to it and assigned to you on
packaging.
- If
there is no work package with a scheduled start date before the
next scheduled outbound flight, a new work package is created. The new work package is named using the following format: "Packaged Faults +
[date and time of packaging]". The created work package is scheduled to a LINE
location, or TRACK if no LINE locations are found at the aircraft’s current
location or arrival location, if it's in flight. The scheduled start date of the work
package is either immediately, if the aircraft is on the ground, or at the
arrival time, if it is in flight. The scheduled end date of the work package is either the
next planned flight’s departure time, or, if there is no next planned flight, it
is the start date of the
work package. The status of the new work package is Commit.
